What is whatTheyLeft20CM - 2nd Free MAX/MSP Patch?
Welcome to the second in our continuing series of free MAX/MSP patches that explore interactivity along with our effects processes. This one, whatTheyLeft20CM, allows the user to take a random journey through a sound file, along with randomly affecting the result using two instances of MegaDelayMassCM -the free, mono version of our popular plug-in MegaDelayMass, the 100 tap delay we created especially for Computer Music UK magazine.
To make this work you'll need to download and install the Max 5 Runtime.
MAX/MSP is a visual, object oriented programming environment - currently in version 5
The Max 5 Runtime is a free "play only" version of MAX/MSP - meaning people who own full blown versions of MAX/MSP can write "patches" that, can be "run" for free. You can find it here: http://www.cycling74.com/downloads/
Included in this download are: the "whatTheyLeft20CM" MAX patch, a soundfile "fifi.wav" (a brief conversation between me and my 3 year old daughter Sofia), MegaDelayMassCM (the free version of MegaDelayMass) and more.
Please note that even though MegaDelayMassCM is "free" - it still uses PACE copy protection.
