Welcome Back
Some of you have been asking about when we would release new products for a while now (you know who you are). Some of you have waited patiently, some of you gave up and moved on (we understand). Well here we are.
For those of you who don’t know us: We always are interested in doing new things. Different things. Fun things. We are not into doing “me too” products. And we are always interested in maintaining the HIGHEST QUALITY of audio. In a world where MP3 and compression are the norm some would ask “does quality matter?” We say to those people “get out before I beat the c**p out of you!” Well, we don’t say that, but we would like to say that, instead we say the following:
Quality always matters. Even if the end result of your hard work is someone listening to a 128 kBit MP3 on $20 earbuds there are intangible characteristics of a recording that survive. In this day and age there is no excuse for anything less than a good recording. It doesn’t take much money or equipment to make great recordings, all it takes is know-how, love and caring.
And strangely enough quality of audio products is GOING UP even as the prices go down. As an example I am always amazed at the overall quality of the headphone amplifier circuit even in the cheapest iPods. And they seem to improve (mostly) with each generation. And with storage capacities going up (and getting cheaper) the need for the life crushing compression is going down. I mean when you have 80 GB of storage on your iPod you can back off on your compression a lot more than when you only had 4 GB (just don’t use all that up for your videos).
To try to get back on track, Welcome Back! Make great sounding stuff! Have fun and don’t forget to complain to us about what we are doing wrong and what we can do better. Seriously.
